During your appointment, the Eyecare professional will conduct a variety of tests to check your vision as well as the health of your eyes. As a patient, you have a right to know what happens in each test and why it is performed. Some doctors explain exactly what they're doing and why; others conduct the tests in silence. Communications between you and your doctor are important, and the doctor should be willing to answer questions without hesitation. What questions could you ask about tests your Eyecare professional is recommending?In addition to the routine tests that are part of every eye examination, the doctor may recommend additional tests for further evaluation.
