VisionRx tests provide corporate and industrial users with a low-cost method
of screening a large number of employees for both existing and potential vision
impairments. As a result, production quality and productivity are enhanced,
employee health care is improved and the employer's overall costs are decreased.
VisionRx concentrates on those industries where superior vision is mission
critical (e.g., transportation, defense, manufacturing, electronics, healthcare
and optics) and on those industries where vision impairment can materially
affect an employee's overall health and productivity (e.g., financial services
and other businesses where computer usage is pervasive).
VisionRx's tests designed specifically for corporate and industrial use include:
Visual Acuity Tests
Tests the employee's ability to see straight-ahead (central vision).
A variety of VisionRx tests can assess monocular and binocular, near and distance, aided and unaided visual acuities (e.g., computer and book reading). |
 |
 |
Contrast Sensitivity Tests
Tests the employee's ability to properly discern objects under a variety of different lighting conditions
(e.g., subtle defects, stress cracks, grind burn, etc.). |
Visual Field Tests
Tests the employee's broader field of vision. Identifies vision problems even when central (straight-ahead)
vision appears normal (i.e., peripheral or side vision). |
 |
 |
Color Vision Tests
Tests the employee's ability to perceive color and to differentiate specific
colors and shades of color that could affect job performance (e.g., color coded manufacturing and assembly processes, lab test analysis, law enforcement, pilots, military, etc.). |
