Are the horizontal lines parallel? Yes, but they appear not to be.

Which cylinder is bigger? They are actually the same size. But the one in the back looks bigger because the pattern of lines indicates a perspective in the distance. (See Ponzo Illusion).

Look at this quilt of black and white patches. Are the vertical rows straight? Take a ruler and see.

Can you SPOT the Dalmatian in this picture?

Of the two center circles, which one is bigger? Actually they are the same size. The circle surrounded by smaller circles usually appears larger than the one surrounded by large circles.
